GURU TEGH BAHADUR JI'S SHAHIDEE DIVAS CELEBRATIONS AT GURUDWARA RAKAB GANJ
This is the view of the Palki of GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI in the LAKHI SHAH VANJARA HALLMain celebrations took place in the Lakhi Shah Vanjara hall which is adjacent to the Rakab Ganj Gurudwara.Most of the Gurupurab celebrations take place in this hall.Permanent structure has been erected for this purpose only.Earliers many years back Gurupurab celebrations used to be done in grounds putting up temporary shamiana/sheds.Lakhi Shah Vanjara was guru ka sikh who brought the body of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji to Rakab Ganj from Sis Ganj where guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was beheaded and cremated the body by setting fire to his hut.It is so appropriate that this hall has been named as LAKHI SHAH VANJARA HALL in the name of the BRAVE GURU KA SIKH.
