TRIBUTE TO BHAI AVTAR SINGH JI
When I went to the Gurdwara Rakab Ganj on 25th Nov.2006 to attend the Kirtan Darbar on the occasion of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji ‘s martyrdom day, I got the news of the sad demise of Bhai Avtar Singh ji.I had been listening to his kirtan since my childhood. Bhai Sahib was one of the greatest Kirtaniyas of the Sikh Panth. His contribution to Raag Kirtan/Gurmat Sangeet was immense.
Bhai Kultar Singh ji son of Bhai Avtar Singh ji did kirtan on that day.Although Bhai Sahib ji were very sick but he had told his son that he must do kirtan on that day.Kirtan was awesome you can have the feeling as if Bhai Avtar Singh Ji himself was singing.It was a tribute of a son to his father.LISTEN /DOWNLOAD KIRTAN BY BHAI KULTAR SINGH JI
